Man Impersonates Cop To Sexually Assault Teenage Boy

HUFFINGTONPOST.COM - The NYPD is searching for a man who allegedly impersonated a police officer to lure a teenage boy into his car and sexually assault him in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn on Friday morning.

Police say the attacker, dressed as a civilian, approached the boy at the 53rd Street and Fourth Avenue station in Sunset Park after he saw the teenager discard a bag of potato chips onto the ground.

He then flashed what appeared to be a police badge and ordered the boy to get into his vehicle. The suspect then drove to 92nd Street and Dahlgren Place where he sexually assaulted the victim.

They then drove to 38th Street and Fourth Avenue where the man dropped off the boy.

Police say the suspect is being described as a bald, 45 to 49-year old man weighing about 145 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches tall. He was also described as to having a gray mustache with a mole under the left side of his lip.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or nypdcrimestoppers.com.
