Deer Park Pharmacy Robbed For Second Time This Month

DEER PARK, Wash. - For the second time in less than a month a pharmacy in Deer Park was robbed. The Medicine Shoppe at 11 E. "H" Street was robbed at gunpoint about 4:00 p.m. Friday by a man who handed employees a note demanding pain medication.

The suspect vaguely resembled the suspect who robbed the same business on December 5th.

In Friday's robbery, the suspect handed employees a note and indicated he was armed with a gun, although no firearm was displayed. He ran from the business behind the nearby Salty Dog as did the suspect earlier in the month. In this robbery, an employee followed the suspect who ran into the trailer park at South 600 Main Street.

Deputies told KHQ's Patrick Erickson at the scene that the suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's who was 5'8" tall and thin.  He had blond hair, blue eyes and a two-day growth of beard. The robber wore a black beanie cap, a tan fleece jacket, blue cargo pants and black leather gloves.

He obtained an undisclosed amount of pain medications and retrieved the note he handed to employees before leaving the store. No one was injured in the robbery Friday.

Anyone with information regarding either armed robbery is urged to contact Spokane Co. Sheriff's Office detectives by calling Crime Check at 509-456-2233.
