KHQ.COM - Three dogs died in a mobile home fire Monday afternoon on Hardesty Road near Elk, Wa. At around 12:10om neighbors reported smoke coming from the home which was unoccupied.
When fire crews arrived they found heavy smoke coming from the roof but they were able to knock it down quickly although the home was a described as a complete loss.
Fire Chief Joe Krizanic says there was extensive heat and smoke damage. A family of four was not home at the time of the fire.
The Red Cross has been called to assist with the family who will be staying with relatives in the area.
