Caught on Tape: Charles Barkley With an Open Mic

Do you ever wonder what Sir Charles Barkley would say if he wasn't in front of a mic? Well, now we know he'd say pretty much the same thing he says on TV - but with even less censorship.

In a piece of video that was SUPPOSED TO BE off the air but now circulating over the Internet, Barkley let loose on two things: Weight Watchers and how awful the Atlanta Hawks are.

First, Weight Watchers. Said Barkley, who is a paid spokesman for the company and who gets a check for losing a couple of pounds a week:

"I thought this was the greatest scam going, getting paid to watch sports... this Weight Watchers thing is a bigger scam."

That's all in fun.

But what he said about the Hawks? He didn't hold back much in a conversation with fellow commentators Kevin Harlan and Reggie Miller:

Barkley: "Man I can't stand to watch this Atlanta Hawks team play."

Harlan: "This game is terrible."

Barkley: "It is."

Harlan: "Look at this game, 31 percent, God Almighty."

Barkley: "The Atlanta Hawks, they got nothin but a bunch of nice guys."

Charles Barkley is who he says he is and who he has always been. If you ask me, it's kind of refreshing. You may not agree with everything he says, but at least respect the guy for saying what he thinks, even though what he thinks and says could hurt him.
