Aggressive Driver, Slick Roads Blamed In Three Vehicle Crash

DEER PARK, Wash - An aggressive driver and slick conditions were to blame for a three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 395 five miles south of Deer Park Tuesday morning. It happened shortly before 7:30 a.m. just north of the intersection of Hwy. 395 and North Road.

WSP told KHQ's Blake Jensen at the scene that a Chevy Trailblazer and a Ford F-150 were traveling north when, according to the two drivers, the driver of a third vehicle tried to pass in an aggressive manner.

The aggressive driver reportedly cut off the F-150, which caused the truck to swerve into the Trailblazer. The Trailblazer was sent spinning into the southbound lanes of Hwy. 395 and was struck by a semi, sending the Trailblazer careening back into the northbound lanes, and scattering debris across the both north and southbound lanes.

Fortunately there were only minor injuries.

The aggressive driver that witnesses claim caused the incident wasn't involved in the actual crash.

One WSP trooper responding the three-vehicle crash also slid off Hwy. 395 near Hatch Rd. The trooper was not injured, but his vehicle sustained extensive damage.
