Spokane Police Department Press Release:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Early Sunday morning at approximately 1:40 am, Spokane Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Mexican Restaurant at 2nd and Cedar.  Upon arrival, Officers discovered two male victims.  Both had been shot in their lower leg and had non-life threatening injuries.  Both stated that there was a fight at the restaurant and that someone inside a white van fired a gun, striking them.  Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Although there were numerous people on scene, there were only a couple of witnesses who were able to state that shots were fired from a white van.  Officers discover broken window glass in the street at the scene.  Officers broadcast ed the suspect vehicle description and that at least one window was broken out.

A few minutes later, Officer Nathan Donaldson spotted a white van with the windows broke out at Division and Buckeye and stopped it.  The occupants stated that they had been in an argument with some other people at the restaurant, but denied shooting anyone.  None of the witnesses were able to identify anyone in the van, so the occupants were released after being identified.  The van was seized for processing and the investigation is continuing.
