MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - A foot of snow, some Montana humor and the power of social networking have combined to create a new phenomenon called "frosting."

Frosting involves taking a photo of yourself in the snow pretending the weather is nice. The Missoulian reports John Brownell of Turah took a photo of himself reading a magazine in a lawn chair in a pile of snow and posted it on his Facebook page last Thursday.

Later, Ryan Maynes posted some photos of himself in the snow in his underwear. Maynes coined the term "frosting," saying it was like planking, only cooler.

A Frosters Anonymous Facebook page was created by Colin Hickey. It had more than 3,200 "likes" by mid-day Monday. The photos include people "sunbathing," snorkeling in the snow and having water balloon fights.
