One Person Dead In Collision on US 395

SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol, Spokane County Firefighters and Washington DOT crews were called to a fatal collision involving a car and semi-truck on US 395 Tuesday evening.

The crash happened on US 395 in between W. Monroe and W. Half Moon Rd. around 9:25.

When emergency crews arrived they found 23-year-old Spokane resident Sean Dieringer Burns dead on arrival. According to police, Dieringer's 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo crossed the center line and struck a semi truck.

The driver of the semi was 55-year-old Randall Degner of Colville. Denger was uninjuerd in the crash. Police also say that Degner attempted to avoid the oncoming car but was unsuccessful.

Both lanes were closed for more than five hours.
