Spokane Police Arrest Woman For Vehicular Assault Saturday Night

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police Officers responded to a report that a vehicle struck a pedestrian at the intersection of Buckeye and Wall Saturday night around 9:45pm.  Upon arrival, Officers found an unconscious and injured male.  The involved vehicle and its driver were still on scene.  Witness statements indicated that the victim was crossing the intersection southbound and was then struck by the eastbound vehicle.

The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.  Spokane Police Department Major Crimes Collision Investigators were called out to investigate. 

Arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail for one count of Vehicular Assault was Candace L. Wilson, a 30 year old female from Spokane.  The investigation is continuing and anyone with any information regarding this accident should call Crime Check at 456-2233.

This incident was the second serious automobile/pedestrian accident on Saturday.  Pedestrians always have the right of way at intersections.  Pedestrians should always use caution when crossing any street, especially at night.
