Armed Robbery At Downtown Spokane Hotel

SPOKANE, Wash. - Police are looking for a suspect after an armed robbery at the Select Motel in downtown Spokane.  It happened around 7:30pm Thursday night. According to police, the suspect demanded money and held a gun in the clerk's face before fleeing. A K9 search was attempted but the man was not located. The suspect is a white male in his 30's, about 5'11" tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He has short red/blond spiked hair. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark jacket and dark blue jeans. If you have any information, call Crime Check at 456-2233.

First arriving companies found heavy fire coming through the roof of the Shogun Restaurant and immediately began to attack the fire. Despite attempts to enter the building, they were quickly forced out due to deteriorating conditions above them.

    FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - Franklin County Sheriff's deputies say a man from Spokane who went swimming at Palouse Falls Saturday evening got pulled into deeper water and did not surface. Deputies, fire crews, Columbia Basin Dive Rescue teams and Washington State Park Rangers responded to a call of a person who had gone into the water under Palouse Falls and had not surfaced around 5:30 p.m.
