DAILYMAIL.COM - No wonder Demi Moore ended up in such bad shape: She apparently had been hanging around with Miley Cyrus.
Nine days before the 49-year-old actress' highly publicized breakdown and hospitalization, Moore was spotted partying with folks less than half her age at the 22nd birthday bash for Cyrus' boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth, according to a new TMZ.com report.
All the attention after the Jan. 14 party at Los Angeles' Club Icon up until now had been on the 19-year-old Cyrus, after the former Disney star posed in a suggestive manner with a cake shaped like a penis.
Sources told TMZ that Moore came to the party with her daughter Rumer and some young friends and drank Red Bull in the VIP section.
Moore suffered an apparent overdose on Jan. 23, and while investigators had have not officially confirmed reports the actress had been using whip-its at the time, there are drug references that were taken out of the 911 call tape that was released to news outlets.
"She can't speak ... she's convulsing ... we're holding her down," a friend can be heard saying in a 911 call, telling the operator that the actress had "smoked something" similar to incense.
Her trip to Club Icon seems to fit Moore's pattern of purposely seeking out younger party companions in what gossip tabloids are labeling an obsession with her age and weight.
"She needed reassurance all the time that she was hot and sexy," a source close to the actress recently told People. "As Demi got older, she convinced herself that she needed to stay young and skinny to remain attractive to her husband."
