SPOKANE, Wash. – Dodson's Jewelers is hosting a special art sale throughout the month of February. All of the art is made by Emmanuel Nkuranga, who lives in Rwanda. For the past couple years, a group of about 50 people go to the area Nkuranga lives and provides free open heart surgeries.
Dr. Hal Goldberg has gone every year and is excited to go back again. "It's a substantial journey, but absolutely worth it." Nkuranga was in Spokane for the sale and says what the doctors do is very helpful for the people in his city. "Back home, they call it good Samaritan because they are not paid, they volunteer, they give back, " Nkuranga said.
