SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane firefighters were called to a house fire near the intersection of Elm & Augusta in west Spokane Sunday morning.

Officials say the fire appears to have started in the attic. Crews ventilated the roof and were able to extinguish the flames. The attic and roof suffered significant damage.

Authorities say no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
