Bobby Brown Expected At Houston Funeral

USATODAY.COM - Bobby Brown has made his way from the West Coast to the East Coast in advance of tomorrow's funeral for his ex, Whitney Houston. He performed last night on stage in Maryland with the New Edition for the group's 30th anniversary tour.

"I'd like to say thank you for your prayers. I'm going to throw two up for Whitney. That's my love," he told the crowd, holding up two fingers, as shown in video posted on YouTube. "Life is life," he added, "You have to move on sometimes. I love her like I love God."

Jeff Allen, the group's agent, told E! News that Brown is expected to be onstage tonight at the Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.; Saturday at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn., and Sunday at the Newark PAC in New Jersey.

Brown is expected at Houston's funeral on Saturday in Newark.

A private viewing will be held today at the funeral home for family. And guests at Saturday's funeral include Kevin Costner and Clive Davis, both confirmed as speakers. Confirmed stars at this point include: Donnie McClurkin, Tyler Perry, Kim Burrell, Stevie Wonder, Rickey Minor, Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick and Cece Winans.

Aretha Franklin is scheduled to sing. She told Al Roker on Today this morning she has not decided what songs. In People magazine, Franklin, 69, spoke of Houston, saying, "We were all aware of her challenges. And I was always rooting for her."

Close friend and former personal assistant Robyn Crawford also writes a moving personal memory of Houston for Esquire. "She chose the life she lived, and she chose it from the beginning. She knew the life better than anyone."

Meanwhile, the investigation into the star's death continues. NBC reports that police have questioned Houston's doctors and have obtained the singer's medical records. NBC also reports that in the days before her Feb. 11 death - on Feb. 2 and Feb. 7, Houston was seen visiting a doctor's office.

TMZ reports that Houston's visits were for a sore throat and to get her teeth whitened.
