Deputies Arrest Suspect In Early Morning Shooting Call

Spokane Sheriff's Department Press Release:

SPOKANE, Wash. - Early Sunday morning around 3:30am,  Spokane County Sheriff's Office patrol deputies responded to a shooting call near the 13700 block of East 46th Rd. in the Bella Vista area.  Deputies arrived on scene and were told the suspect, identified as 37 year old Jason Cunningham, had fired one bullet into the residence through the front window.  Deputies did find a bullet hole in the front window with a .45 caliber casing on the ground outside the window.

Cunningham walked into the residence and pointed the weapon at an adult male, who witnesses say was a long time friend of Cunningham.  Cunningham did not fire the weapon.  He left the residence and fired additional shots into the air before driving away from the scene.

Deputies were able to locate Cunningham in the area of Broadway and Bowdish where he was taken into custody without incident.  Cunningham was booked into Spokane County Jail on the charges of Drive-by Shooting, 1st Degree Burglary, 1st Degree Assault, and Reckless Endangerment.
