The Spokane Shock opened up training camp on Saturday with 42 players reporting to the field.
Even as camp began however, the front office continued to make roster moves, bringing in new players and either releasing others. It's a juggling act that happens every year at this time.
The Shock need to trim the list to just 24 players by March 3, so there is little time to waste.
"Once we get started we're rolling into games, we have two games in five weeks" said veteran defensive back Terrance Sanders. "We have three weeks to get it all cut and squared away, get our best guys and put them all together to field a team."
"Once camp is over we're ready to roll," said quarterback Erik Meyer. "We have a game in three and a half weeks. It's exciting. We're not going to be going against the same guys over and over."
The Shock open the season March 12 at home against the Iowa Barnstormers.
