12-Year-Old Idaho Boy Charged In Father's Shooting Death

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) - Prosecutors in southeastern Idaho have filed a petition in Youth Court in Pocatello alleging a 12-year-old boy shot his father to death.

Bannock County prosecutors filed information Tuesday supporting a first-degree murder charge in the death of 46-year-old Paul Danielson of the Swan Lake area. Tuesday's admit/deny hearing was closed to the public.

Coroner Kim Quick says Danielson died Friday night of small caliber wounds to the head at his house about 10 miles south of Downey.

Officials have not released any information about what led to the shooting.
