SPOKANE, WASH. -There still have been no arrests following Tuesday's bomb scare on Cincinnati and Olympic in Spokane. Police have conducted a few interviews and the investigation remains ongoing as to who may have put the small device near the car. A neighbor discovered the possible problem and alerted the police immediately. The bomb squad rendered the bomb safe after they disrupted the device.
As it turns out it's been a while since this neighborhood's been normal. This incident was just the latest in a string of struggle within a half mile stretch. Exactly one month ago, a few blocks away at Standard and Everett, Ryan Morales, a downtown business owner, hit a car full of young people and fled the scene.
Another mess still being cleaned up today was a blaze on Broad that temporarily took a family out of their home. That fire was just a block from the possible bomb scare. Because of the past problems Lyndie Deleon said she will no longer take anything for granted as she awaits normal's return to her North Spokane neighborhood.
