PREVIOUS STORY

SPOKANE, Wash. - On Monday night Spokane firefighters responded to a structure fire at a commercial building near Spokane Community College in the 1500 block of North Florida.

The building is multi-level commercial building. The name of the building is G.W. Inc., Law Enforcement & Safety Equipment. Upon arrival firefighters were warned about possible explosions from gun powder, but it turns out there was no ammunition in the building.

Firefighters ventilated the roof with chainsaws and although there is smoke damage, it appears most of the inventory was saved.

The cause is still under investigation but officials say it looks like the fire started on the outside of the building and burned through to the inside.  No injuries have been reported.
