UPDATE: Deadly Officer Involved Shooting In Hayden

UPDATED PRESS RELEASE FROM THE KOOTENAI COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE:

The interagency investigation into the officer involved shooting early Monday morning is continuing as investigators released some more of the details that resulted in the fatal shooting. Initial investigation indicates that Justin Todd skidded to a stop in the yard at the end of St.
Estephe court.

The Idaho State Police trooper, Cpl. Michael Thomas Keys and the two Post Falls Police Officers, Officer Aaron Ogle and Officer Bradley Johnson got out of their cars and approached Todd's vehicle.

Todd backed up rapidly, and then pulled forward, striking Cpl. Keys with his car. Keys and both Post Falls officers fired at Todd, striking him multiple times. Investigators are waiting for official autopsy results before releasing any more information regarding how many times Todd was hit by gunfire, toxicology result and anything else related to the autopsy.

The investigators' job is to put all of the facts together and then provide them to the Kootenai
County Prosecutor for his review.
