Cheney Baby Just Couldn't Wait To Greet The World

CHENEY, Wash. - A Cheney family got a little bigger today when a new little bundle of joy came into their life, but how it happened is the unique part of the story.

Amanda Gintz was home alone Wednesday morning when she started to feel contractions.

She called 911 for help and her husband, Jason, who is a volunteer firefighter.

He raced home as soon as he got the call, but little Lane just couldn't wait, he was born right at the house.

This wasn't the first time 911 had been called to the house either.

Exactly one year ago, the Gintz's 14-month-old girl, Liala, died in her sleep.

Amanda found her early in the morning after Jason had left for work, meaning Liala left the Gintz's lives exactly where Lane entered it.

Mother and baby Lane are in the hospital Wednesday night, and should be able to go home in the next few days.

Lane joins a big brother waiting for him at home.
