SPOKANE, Wash. -

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane County Fire District 9 and Octapharma Plasma put on a Easter egg hunt and lunch at the Ronald McDonald House in Spokane on Sunday. Volunteers helped the kids find Easter eggs, paint their faces and color eggs.

Lieutenant Mike Miner was in charge of the event, and he said that spending his Easter at the Ronald McDonald house was worth it. "The families here you know have some hardship right now...so to come out here and to give them a normal day and to keep the focus on the day or the sickness or whatever is going on, that's what we are here for," Miner said.

After helping the kids at the Ronald McDonald House, a couple members went over to see children at the Sacred Heart Children's Hospital with Smoky the Bear to hand out candy and make the kid's Easter a little bit brighter.

NOT in a microwave. For this reason a new prank-challenge going around on Facebook is resulting in some hilarious text conversations between mothers and their grown children.
