MOSCOW, Idaho -

Idaho coach Robb Akey opted for a spirited, fast-paced practice instead of a scrimmage on Saturday.

Akey said he liked what he saw, although his players still have to develop more consistency in their assignments.

The Vandals end spring football on April 20 with the annual Silver and Gold Scrimmage - aired live on SWX-TV this year.
