MOSCOW, Idaho -

It's Game Day for the Idaho Vandals – or Scrimmage Day at least.

Robb Akey and his team are set to wrap up spring practice on Friday evening with the annual Silver and Gold Scrimmage inside the Kibbie Dome. The scrimmage gets underway at 6 p.m. and will be shown live on SWX-TV and SWXRightNow.com.

For the Vandals, it's all about the details. During Friday's scrimmage they will focus on the little things that lead to big things in fall – like the 2-minute drill.

"It gives you the opportunity to get it addressed and get it taught, but the main thing is the more we can be in those situations, you execute it better on game day," said Akey. "At the end of a half we want to get it as much as you can. At the end of a game where it's very defined what you need to get, if we can get that to be second nature you never know – you might find yourself in a bowl game and need to go do something like that to win again."

Is that Robb Akey talking about going to a bowl game again? Yes. Yes, it is.
