
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- For the fifth time this playoffs, the Tri-City Americans have lost a game in overtime. The Americans take a 2-0 series deficit after losing at home to the Portland Winterhawks, 5-4 Saturday night. The Ams also lost 5-4 in overtime on Friday night. It marks the first time this postseason that the Ams have lost back to back games.
For Tri-City, goals were scored by Adam Hughesman, Jordan Messier, Patrick Holland and Justin Feser. For Portland, Ty Rattie scored a hat-trick, including the overtime winner. Ty Rimmer had 43 saves in goal for the Ams.
Game three will be Wednesday night in Portland.
