Rider Injured In Motorcycle Crash Near Springdale

One person was injured in a motorcycle accident in Stevens County Sunday afternoon.

It happened on Highway 231 about 6 miles south of Springdale. Medstar was launched and we are told the rider was conscious when the helicopter arrived, but may have suffered some broken ribs.

The roadway was blocked for about 90 minutes and it is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor.

The crash is under investigation.

Deputies say the SUV was heading south on Blake when it was struck by another car, causing it to flip onto its top in a nearby yard. One person was able to get out of the SUV, but the driver had to be pulled out through the rear lift gate. Injuries appear to be minor. >>
