SPOKANE, Wash. - A male driver was hospitalized after his pickup went off the road and down a 100 foot embankment in northwest Spokane late Monday morning.
Authorities told KHQ that the man was driving his pickup on South Elliot Drive, which runs parallel to Government Way. He says he reached over to pick something up inside his truck, lost control of the pickup, and it went off the road down the embankment and into a ravine.
Initially the man refused treatment but eventually he allowed emergency personnel to transport him to the hospital with numerous cuts, scrapes and bruises.
The Spokane Co. Sheriff's office is investigating.
