Tonight's GSL Boy's Soccer action was highlighted by a double overtime battle between Lewis and Clark and Mead.
Lewis and Clark (10-6, 5-4) upset league-leading Mead (8-3, 8-1) 4-3. Mead held the lead early with a goal 10 minutes in by Fretheim as well as a goal by Deshazo at the 27:00 mark. LC got on the board at the 36 minute mark and tied the game up in second half with a Webb goal at the 50:00 mark. Deshazo responded quickly for Mead scoring a minute later, his second goal of the night. Martin for LC scored 9 minutes later to send the game into overtime, but that wasn't going to be enough. Buckley-Jones stunned Mead with a game-winning goal at the 88:00 minute mark.
In more 4A Tournament action, Central Valley (9-3, 6-3) beat Ferris (6-9-1, 6-3) 2-0 Wednesday afternoon. Schneidmiller connected on a goal assited by Bumgarner at the 31:00 mark. In the second half, Schneidmiller also contributed an assist on a goal by Van Voorhis at the 43:00 mark. Central Valley dominated ball control as they took 19 shots while Ferris only managed three.
In the District 8 3A Tournament, Mt. Spokane (10-4, 6-3) defeated University (8-4, 6-3) 1-0 Wednesday night. The lone goal of the game came at the 78:00 mark by Ziegler with Button assisting. Mt. Spokane took seven shots to University's seven.
