Book sale is good for more than just a bargain

Kennewick, Wa. - This weekend the Friends of the Mid-Columbia Libraries organization is holding its bi-annual Giant Bargain Book Sale! The group is selling thousands of books, movies, audiobooks and more for their biggest fundraiser of the year.

Although the sale is a long standing tradition, the inventory is anything but routine. Library workers say this year they're seeing a lot of history books, baseball books and travel books.

Kid's and Young Adults books are going for just 25 cents each, and workers say this sale provides a great value on books and great value to local libraries. All proceeds from the sale go to support fun initiatives that the library can't otherwise support.

The sale is going on Friday and Saturday, May 4th & 5th from 9 AM-4 PM, and Sunday, May 6th from 1 PM-4 PM. It's being held at the Mid-Columbia Libraries - Kennewick Branch at 1620 South Union. For more information, just head to www.midcolumbialibraries.org.
