
KHQ.COM - A 2-year-old girl was hospitalized Monday afternoon after a family pit bull attacked her in Concord, Calif.
The dog bit the girl on the head, face and leg, according to Animal Control. She was treated at the scene and then airlifted to the hospital. The injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Contra Costa County Animal Services is investigating the incident.
According to law enforcement sources quoted by the San Francisco Chronicle, the dog was taken away and euthanized.
