UPDATE: Arrests Made In Ongoing Drug & Burglary Investigation

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On Thursday, May 10th, The Spokane County Sheriff's Office Burglary Task Force andInvestigative Task Force conducted a search warrant near the area of 400 West Kiernan Road. 

Following a lengthy investigation, investigators from the BTF and ITF developed probable causefor the warrant at the residence.  Investigators developed information that stolen property andcontrolled substances were being trafficked out of the residence.
 
The residence was initially secured with the assistance of the Spokane County Sheriff's OfficeSWAT Team. Once investigators began to process the scene, a variety of suspected stolenitems were located inside the residence. 

These items included a variety of electrical musicalinstruments, multiple laptop computers, overhead projectors and other electronic components. Investigators were able to confirm many of these items had been stolen in the past month.
 
Investigators also located a quantity of controlled substances as well as drug paraphernalia. Some of the stolen property was matched to specific crimes by serial numbers. However, manyof the items will need additional follow-up by investigators to determine where they werestolen from.
 
The residence was occupied by three adults when the warrant was served. Present was 29year old Nathan "Nate" Carter, 32-year-old Jeffrey Jennings and Jenning's mother. Carter wasarrested for Possession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, Trafficking In Stolen Property 1stDegree and Possession of a Controlled Substance (heroin). 

Jennings was arrested forPossession of Stolen Property 2nd Degree, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance(heroin and methamphetamine) as well as an outstanding local warrant for DUI.  Both Carterand Jennings were booked into the Spokane County Jail on the listed charges.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane County SWAT teams early Thursday morning raided a home in the 400 block of W. Kiernan in north Spokane they believed to be connected to a burglary and drug ring.

Right now the Spokane County Sheriff's Burglary Task Force and the Investigative Task Force are continuing their investigation inside the home.    

Deputy Craig Chamberlin told KHQ-TV's Blake Jensen at the scene that two arrests have been made, but investigators aren't sure if the two suspects are directly connected to the burglary and drug ring. He added that the two men arrested just happened to be in the home that was being investigated and both had active, unrelated warrants.    

Task force teams are on scene actively looking for property that has been reported stolen from numerous residents across Spokane County.
