IDAHO - Idaho held its first ever closed primary election Tuesday, and the big races out of north Idaho were the races for Sheriff in Bonner and Kootenai County.
In Kootenai County, the three candidates were John Green, Keith Hutcheson and Ben Wolfinger. With only 6 of 73 precincts reporting, Ben Wolfinger is leading with 44% of the votes. Green and Hutcheson are close, each with about 26%.
In Bonner County Daryl Wheeler beat out Tim Fry and
Shaun P Winkler for Sheriff. Wheeler has 1,072 votes, Fry has 353 and Winkler, who is a member of the KKK, only has 40 votes. These results are reflective of 10 of 33 precincts counted as of Tuesday night.
