BURIEN, Wash. - Police are looking for a man with gang ties who stole his girlfriend's vehicle and took his child and another child from the Burien library sometime Tuesday afternoon, the King County Sheriff's Office said.

"Michael Riley took his 7 month old and 2-year-old from Burien Library," Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cindi West tweeted.

West said in an email that the 2-year-old is not Riley's. Police indicated that Riley was violating a custody order.

West said police are "working on (an) Amber Alert" and that police are looking for a 1994 Lexus GS300 with plates 299 UOM.

Police said Riley is known to possess weapons, though none were seen at the time of the alleged abduction.
