Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help In Locating Fugitives

SPOKANE, Wash. - Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest released a list of new fugitives today, two of them listed below. For a list of additional criminals, CLICK HERE

Steven Lewis is a 19-year-old black male wanted for Harassment and misdemeanor City Assault.  He is 6', 220 lbs, has black hair and brown eyes.  His last known address was in the 1800 block of E. South Riverton in Spokane.  Lewis has a five year local criminal history to include a conviction for robbery.  

Joseph William Vanriper is a 45-year-old white male wanted for Robbery 1st Degree (2 warrants), Forgery, Theft, Delivery of Controlled Substance, Possession Of Controlled Substance and 2 City Theft misdemeanor warrants.  He is 6', 240 lbs, has brown hair and blue eyes.  His last known address was in the 0 block of E. Empire in Spokane.  Vanriper has a twenty-seven year local criminal history to include convictions for robbery, burglary, theft, forgery, and drugs.    

Crime Stoppers fugitives are wanted criminal suspects who are avoiding capture by police.  This makes them potentially dangerous, and they should only be contacted by law enforcement professionals.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - A retired Spokane Police captain is fighting for his life in the hospital.   Keith Cummings and his wife Holly were on vacation in Costa Rica and got into a head-on crash with another truck on Friday. In an online fundraiser, their daughter, Rachel Durkin, said her mother is recovering in a hotel room with several facial fractures and a pelvic fracture.

    SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police arrested a 41-year-old man they say fired shots in downtown Spokane while driving drunk.  Officers were called to the area of Sprague and Browne at approximately 9:30 pm Monday for a report of multiple shots fired in the area. The first officers were on scene in less than a minute. A security officer in the area was able to provide a description of the suspect's SUV and a direction of travel.
