One of the objections about building a new arena in Seattle's SoDo neighborhood to house an NBA and NHL franchise is the traffic: fans would crowd the streets, making commerce all but impossible.

The Seattle Department of Transportation blew a hole in that criticism, saying a study proves the area has enough parking and transit options to handle the traffic – even when events overlap at more than one venue.

The study was unveiled Wednesday. It estimated a sold out event at the new arena would bring in about 20,000 people. Those 20,000 people would bring about 6,000 cars. With new parking being proposed to go along with the new arena, and plans to increase capacity of light rail in the neighborhood, SDOT concluded SoDo could handle the increased traffic.

Even more, the study highlighted the fact that most events at the new arena would start in the evening. Operations at the nearby port close at 4:30 p.m..

KING 5 in Seattle summed up the study here.

Reviewing OOTP '15, Mariners Still Break Hearts in Baseball Video Game

This lengthy build-up leads me to one sincere question: Did the 2001 season doom the Seattle Mariners franchise? If the M's had won the World Series that year, would we be talking about a dynasty? Out of the Park Baseball 15 allows baseball fans to answer that question.
