Seahawks Roundup: Barbre Suspended; NFC West Guess; No Hard Knoc

Updated:

The NFL suspended Seattle offensive tackle Allen Barbre for four games for violating the league's policy on performance enhancing substances.

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that Barbre, who played four games for Seattle last season, can participate in OTAs, practices and preseason games, but cannot play in the first four regular season games.

Mike Sando at ESPN opined Thursday that the Seahawks will finish second in the NFC West behind San Francisco. He based the prediction the early over-under listings from cover.com.

And yes, it's true. The producers of HBO's "Hard Knocks" approached Seattle about the team's interest becoming their latest victim. Team general manager told the show the team would not be comfortable with participating. NFL.com reported the Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Houston Texans, San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins have also turned producers away.
