Liquor Stores Auctioned Off

SPOKANE, Wash. - Eighteen liquor stores across the state were auctioned off Thursday in Seattle. The auction started in the morning. More than 100 people showed up to the bid.

The people were bidding on the exclusive right to be able to be able to apply for a liquor license at the exact spot of the existing liquor store or within a mile radius of the location.

Today, the total bid and fees were 5.7 million dollars.
