YAKIMA, Wash. -- Eisenhower High School quarterback Kolney Cassel committed to Southern Methodist University Thursday. The junior checked out the SMU campus in March when he received his offer. Cassel also considered Washington State University. This football season he was the CBBN 4A co-offensive player of the year. Both Cassel and Davis quarterback Deion Wright passed Walla Walla and NFL alum Drew Bledsoe on the state 4A all-time single-season passing average list.
