Spokane Police: Driver Of Chevy Blazer Dies After Terrible Crash

SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police tell KHQ that on Saturday May 26th at 2 am the driver of a 1994 Chevrolet Blazer, traveling east on Main, lost control and crashed into a concrete barrier in front of a business at the corner of Stone and Main. 

The driver and passenger were transported to the hospital, where the driver, Marquis Johnson (8/10/88), was declared brain dead. The female passenger (23) suffered broken bones. Johnson eventually died from his injuries.

According to witnesses impairment and speed appear to be a factor.  The investigation is ongoing.
