From KIROTV.com - Seattle Police say one man is believed to be responsible for shootings that killed a total of four people at two locations in Seattle.

Less than an hour later, a woman was shot and killed during an apparent carjacking at Eighth and Seneca.

Assistant Chief Jim Pugel said about an hour after digital photos of the suspect where distributed to officers, a plainclothes detective in West Seattle saw a man who matched the description of the gunman.  He alerted uniformed officers, and as they closed in on the suspect near 37th and Southwest Raymond Street, the man knelt down in the street and shot himself in the head.

The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center.

Officers were called to Café Racer at 5828 Roosevelt Way Northeast at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving reports of shots fired.

Police arrived and found five people down inside the business.

Police said the shooter, who was armed with a gun, was seen running away from the scene northbound.

Two men died at the scene.  Friends of the deceased said the men were both in their 40s or early 50s.  One man was described as a sword swallower, fire breather and had a large presence in the burlesque community.  Both men were members of the band God's Favorite Beefcake, which had played at the Folklife Festival on Saturday.

The three surviving victims, two men and a woman, were in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.  The woman died from her injuries several hours later.

From KIROTV.com - Seattle police have obtained surveillance photos of a man suspected of killing three people and wounding 2 others at a North Seattle cafe.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 30 years old, with well-groomed dark hair, a neat full beard, wearing a dark short cap and a light blue jacket.  He should be considered armed and dangerous.  Anyone who sees the man or knows his identity is asked to call the Seattle police tip line at 206-233-5000 or call 911.

Two men died at the scene.  Friends of the deceased said the men were both in their 40s or early 50s.  One man was described as the "godfather of Café Racer" who was a sword swallower, fire breather and was a big presence in the burlesque community.  Both men were members of the band God's Favorite Beefcake, which had played at the Folklife Festival on Saturday.

The three surviving victims, two men and a woman, were in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center.  The woman died from her injuries several hours later.

Seattle police said on their Twitter account that the scene is still very active and people should avoid the area. Three blocks have been sealed off and are blocked to traffic.

Officer Nick Metz warned residents to not open their doors to strangers and keep possible entry points locked.   Neighbors should call police if they find any signs that someone has tried to break in.

Armed officers are going door to door within a 10-block radius in the search for the suspect, checking open windows, looking in garbage cans and creeping around bushes.

A neighbor on Northeast 58th Street told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Chris Legeros that police were asking occupants if they were OK.  Another neighbor said she was not surprised by the shooting and had lived in the area for a long time.

Meanwhile, within an hour of the shooting, a woman was shot and killed in a possible carjacking near Eighth Avenue and Seneca Street.  That gunman remains at large.

Police said they don't know if the two shootings are related.
