UPDATE: Home Invasion On Spokane's South Hill; A New Plea For Help

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM THE SPOKANE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE: On Wednesday morning, May 30th, 2012, at about 12:30 a.m., homeowners near the 4400 block of East 46th Ave. were awakened by a knock at their front door. When they answered two male subjects forced their way into the residence and threatened the homeowners at gunpoint. The suspects took cash from the residence before fleeing on foot.
 
Spokane County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Detectives are asking for assistance from the community in solving this home invasion robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jack Rosenthal at 509-477-3186. Crime Stoppers of the Inland Northwest is offering a cash reward for this robbery.
 
Persons with information regarding this home invasion robbery should call the Crime Stoppers TipLine at 1-800-222-TIPS, or should forward the tip via the Internet website: www.crimestoppersinlandnorthwest.org. Tipsters do not have to give their name to collect the cash reward.

    MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis day care owner has pleaded guilty to trying to kill a toddler in her home.    Forty-three-year-old Nataliia Karia entered the plea to attempted murder and third-degree assault. She also pleaded guilty to criminal vehicular operation of a vehicle for hitting a pedestrian, a bicyclist and another driver as she fled from her home in a minivan.
