We are dreaming BIG this summer at Spokane County Library District with engaging free programs for school aged kids at all 10 of our libraries.
We'll kick off the fun the week of June 18 with kids' music star Eric Herman (Check him out on YouTube!), live in concert. Bubbillusionist Jarom Watts (holder of multiple Guinness World Records for bubbles) will wow you with his amazing bubble creations.
West Valley Outdoor Learning Center fills the library with some nighttime creatures. The Knights of Veritas—a favorite from last summer—will be back this year to introduce the Code of Chivalry and demonstrate historical combat techniques with the weapons and armor of the knights.
Penny's Puppets brings a musical tour of creatures that come alive under the night sky with "Batunia's Nocturnal Wonderland".
And finally,—for the first time ever—we are pleased to present the Mobius Science Center live in our libraries. Get a sneak preview of the Science Center (opening this fall) when Mobius throws down the science!
If you've ever wondered what happens after the library closes, kids in grades 3-5 can find out at one of our Late Night at the Library programs. All details and a reading log to track everything you read this summer are available at www.scld.org.
Check out the programs, check out books and keep your imagination fired up and fuel your big dreams this summer!
