June Healthy Woman presents "Healthy Family "Program

Ladies, bring your teens and your pre-teens to this very special Healthy Woman, Healthy Families Event "The Real Truth About Smoking."

The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Deaconess Health and Education Center.

An oncologist will discuss the health hazards of smoking and chewing and his presentation will be geared towards the teens and pre-teens in the audience. The program will also feature Shawn Wright, who is featured in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services "Be Careful not to cut your Stoma" Public Service announcement. Wright lives in Spokane.

The goal is to have the kids sign a pledge at the end of the program committing not to smoke. Information will be available for parents about quitting smoking.
