Idaho State Police: Two Motorcyclists Collide In Adams County; One Killed

KHQ.COM - On June 9, 2012, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to a fatality crash involving two motorcycles on Idaho Power Rd. leading to Hell's Canyon Dam in Adams County, Idaho.

51-year-old Anthony M. Weil of Lacey, Washington, operating a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle, was traveling north on the paved road owned by Idaho Power Company leading to Hell's Canyon Dam. 68-year-old John S. McCree of Port Orchard, Washington, operating a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, was traveling south on the same road.

Both subjects were negotiating a curve at milepost 17 when Weil failed to maintain his designated lane of travel. Weil traveled left of the double yellow center line where he collided with McCree.

Weil was transported via ambulance to St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Baker City, Oregon. McCree was transported by air ambulance to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Both subjects were wearing helmets. It does not appear that weather or alcohol was a factor in this crash. This crash is still under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

SPOKANE, Wash. - Feel like you have to keep swatting bugs away when you've been walking outside this week? What you might be calling gnats, are really blue ash aphids. And right now they are more active than ever, because it's mating season. KHQ met a couple who noticed the blue ash aphids right when they started their walk in the park.
