Lewiston Police Looking For Burglary Victims

Lewiston Police Department Press Release:

On Saturday, law enforcement received information from a concerned parent about property inside  her residence which she believed may be stolen. Law enforcement responded and determined the property was stolen from numerous vehicle burglaries in the area of 1000 Alder Ave. As a result of  the investigation two juveniles were taken into custody and booked in to the Juvenile Detention Center.

The property that was recovered at this time is assorted electronics, GPS units, DVD players and
other small electronic devices.  The suspects attempted entry into approximately 30 vehicles and
entered about 18.  All the victims have not been identified and LPD is requesting citizens to check
their vehicles for missing property. The general area is 1000 Alder Ave. to the east.

As always the LPD encourages everyone to lock their vehicles.  As illustrated in this case the
suspects typically target unlocked vehicles.  This is often the case and merely locking your vehicle is a huge deterrent to criminals targeting vehicles.  Often victims do not realize they are missing any property until they go to look specifically for the item.

Please lock your doors and don't become a victim.
