SPOKANE, Wash. -

The Shock are in an interesting situation with six games left in the regular season. At 7-5 they find themselves just on the outside of the playoffs. But then again, according to the numbers, they are one of the best teams in the league.

The latest AFL Power Rankings came out Monday. Spokane moved up two spots to No. 6, one spot behind divisional foe, Utah. They were at No. 8.

The Power Rankings are based on a scoring system based on winning percentage, but also strength of schedule, scoring percentage and win streak.

Arizona is still No. 1 in the power rankings. Philadelphia swapped the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. San Jose is No. 4. The rankings demonstrated just how tough the Western Division is in the AFL. All four teams are in the top 6 spots on the list (Arizona, San Jose, Utah and Spokane).

Spokane hosts Utah this weekend at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena and could leapfrog the Blaze in the playoff race if they win. The game will be live on SWX, SWXRightNow.com and on mobile devices through the Syncbak apps.

Arizona is at Milwaukee. San Jose is at Kansas City.
