KHQ.COM - Washington Fish and Wildlife tell KHQ that a Yearling Buck deer trapped in the courtyard of the old EWU downtown campus at 1st & Wall will be euthanized. Witnesses say the deer was with another deer when it jumped over the balcony and fell two stories into a courtyard below on Wednesday morning.

"There were a bunch of people standing around, so we came over to take a look, I work in the building over here," said Tricia Gronwold.  "We were concerned, we thought it was a person at first, but when we saw it was a deer, we wondered where it came from."

PULLMAN, Wash. - Six-year-old Denny Curran should be enjoying his last few days of summer before first grade. He should be teasing his brother, splashing in the pool, giving his parents a hard time about vegetables. Instead, Denny is dead, the victim of a horrific, freak bicycle accident that could happen to your child too. "Denny was an extraordinary child," his father Keith Curran told KHQ.
