Two Different Luring Cases Being Investigated

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. - The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is investigating 2 different luring cases that happened early in the week. One of those cases involved a child and another is involving an adult woman. The first incident happened in the 9400 block of East Mission Avenue and the second one happened near Boulder Beach.

A 13-year-old girl was on her way to the bus stop Monday and a man came up to her in his car and asked if she wanted to come in his car. The little girl said no, and ran away. Right after, she called her mom.

The second case is a little different, a man went after a grown woman. She was driving home Tuesday and a man was tried to talk to her as she was driving. They were both in their cars. He followed her to the Boulder Beach and she got out and talked to a group of people and told them what was going on. Deputies did catch up with the man and since he had not committed a crime, they could not arrest him. They do not know if these two cases are related.
