KHQ.COM - We have some good news and some bad news....first the bad! Isolated showers and thunderstorms will continue through Tuesday as well as breezy winds, with gust expected to 20-285 mph for Tuesday.

NOW, the good news.....Summer officially arrives on Wednesday and it looks as though Mother Nature is going to cooperate, as we see a return to sunshine and temps back up into the 70's! 

There is another series of storms that we are watching for the end of the week and weekend...but we will fine tune that forecast as we head into mid-week!

Tuesday: Partly Cloudy skies, Isolated showers & T/Storms...gust to 25 mph. 64°/43°

Wednesday: SUMMER BEGINS...With Sunshine and 70's! 71°/43°

    NORTH BEND, Wash. (AP) - Officials in Washington state say a cougar that attacked two men riding bicycles, killing one and injuring the second, has been shot to death. Capt. Alan Myers of the state's Fish & Wildlife Police says agents using a hound-dog tracker shot and killed the cougar shortly before 3 p.m., the Seattle Times reported.

That's what 19-year-old Kayla Irizzary did before she was taken into custody early Saturday morning by Moses Lake Police. Officers say they first contacted the woman during a traffic stop last week. She was a passenger in the stopped car.
