Recall CDA Currently Failing

COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho - The effort to recall Coeur d'Alene mayor Sandy Bloem and three city councilors is currently failing, according to the latest tabulation released by the Kootenai County Clerks office.

As of Saturday evening, 98 percent of the petitions have been checked so far.  Of that 98 percent, 24 percent have been rejected.

In order for Coeur d'Alene mayor sandy Bloem and council members Deanna Goodlander, Woody McEvers and Mike Kennedy to survive the recall, the disqualification rate needed to be at least 20 percent.

A final verification will happen Monday... the county clerk will then present the city with the final tally on Wednesday.
